Orinari ("we", "our", or "us") is a meal planning and pantry management application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and protect information when you use Orinari.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Orinari mobile app, web app, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create or use an Orinari account, we may collect account information such as your email address and authentication-related account identifiers.

1.2 Information You Provide in the App

We may collect and store information you create or enter in Orinari, including:

• Recipes, ingredients, cooking steps, and recipe images
• Pantry items and pantry-related information
• Grocery lists
• Meal plans
• Favorites, preferences, and app settings
• Cooking and planning activity needed to provide app features

1.3 Scan and Image Processing Data

Orinari includes optional scanning features. When you choose to scan a receipt, pantry shelf, fridge, or similar image, Orinari may upload that image to our backend or storage provider and may send it to AI or image processing services to extract grocery or pantry items.

This may include:

• Receipt images
• Pantry or food storage images
• Text extracted from images
• Detected items
• Structured grocery or pantry data
• Confidence signals, metadata, and scan results
• Scan usage records used to enforce scan limits and prevent abuse

Scanning features are optional and are only used when you choose to use them.

1.4 Usage, Diagnostics, and Technical Data

We may process limited usage and diagnostic information to operate, secure, debug, and improve the app, including:

• Feature usage and app interactions
• Scan usage records, such as scan type, month, timestamp, and client scan identifier
• Error logs and diagnostic information
• Performance or reliability information

Some diagnostic information may be stored locally on your device, and some operational logs may be processed by our backend service providers.

1.5 Subscription and Payment Information

If subscriptions, premium features, or purchases are enabled, purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not store your credit card details.

We may process subscription status, entitlement data, purchase tokens, and billing metadata only as needed to provide paid features, restore purchases, prevent abuse, and comply with platform requirements.

If paid features are not enabled in your current app version, this section applies only when those features become available.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

• Provide core app functionality, including meal planning, pantry tracking, recipes, grocery lists, and cooking mode
• Save and sync your data across sessions
• Provide optional receipt and pantry scanning features
• Extract structured items from scanned images
• Enforce scan limits and prevent abuse
• Manage account access and preferences
• Improve app reliability, performance, and user experience
• Provide, verify, or restore premium features if enabled

3. AI Features and Image Processing

Orinari may include optional AI-powered features such as receipt scanning, pantry scanning, and structured data extraction.

When you use these features:

• You choose when to upload or scan an image
• The image and extracted content may be processed by backend, storage, or AI service providers
• The results may be used to create pantry items, grocery entries, or review screens
• Scan usage may be recorded to enforce monthly scan limits

AI features are intended to assist you, but extracted results may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should review scan results before saving them.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share or process data with trusted service providers only as needed to operate Orinari, including:

• App hosting and backend infrastructure providers
• Storage providers
• AI and image processing services
• Authentication providers
• Google Play services, if purchases or subscriptions are enabled

These providers process data only for app functionality, security, reliability, payment processing, or other service-related purposes.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Orinari, or others.

5. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to provide Orinari, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain app security.

Some scan images, extracted data, logs, or metadata may be retained by backend, storage, or processing providers according to their service operations and retention practices. We do not claim receipt or pantry images are immediately deleted after processing unless confirmed by the relevant service provider.

6. Account Deletion

In-app account deletion is not currently available.

Please include the email address associated with your Orinari account so we can process the request.

Account deletion requests remove associated personal data where required and technically available. Some information may be retained where necessary for legal, security, fraud prevention, backup, or operational reasons.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data transmitted between the app and backend services is generally transmitted using secure network connections such as HTTPS/TLS where supported by the service provider.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account or data
• Stop using optional AI or scan features
